I am so burnt mentally - ever hear of P3P? Neither had I, until a couple days ago I had to bring a drugstore site into full compliance. What is P3P? Well, its a way of pushing a header and XML based compliance policy. Is it important for every website? Well, no but if you do you will assure that your legal butt is covered and that even browsers set to high security take your cookies automatically. What am I gonna do to relax tonight? Well, why try and get GeeG compliant of course. I spent 2 days learning it on win server 2003 and IIS - why not try it out on Apache / Unix? If you were expecting me to be around tonight I can honestly say there's little chance in that happening. I'll have a full article and how to for both platforms some time this week. (I hope) - Post below this one details the radio updates... See ya tomorrow.

Everyone that's recently listened to this particular Iron Maiden album has really liked it, so I thought it fitting to put up the top 4 tunes from the album "A matter of life and Death". I hadn't even heard of it and neither had anyone else. I think its one of their finest efforts and if you liked Maiden ever... I'm sure you'll agree. It earned a place on my car mp3 player for those kinda angry days.
Enjoy.

Boy, that silly internets been busy this weekend - I actually had more stuff than I could post for once. There's a chill in the air and a frost warning up for some parts. Why not make yourself a nice hot cup of tea and curl up with a warm GeeG?
Radio updates tomorrow - I'll see you then.

Wen I was a kid the absolute best model kits came from Revell - and they still do it right - I'd mod this for sure with lights or led's.

only $24.99 - almost too good to pass up.
I dunno if anyone saw the show where Rachel Raye learns how to shuck corn but the folks at YTMND sure did
And for the geeky amongst us I also have Heavy Metal Worf

For freeware that's pretty nice! - Sorry Linux heads, Windows only.

a fun but graphically cheezy game where to save the Earth from alien invasion you have to draw rocks. - Then (just like the name) the rock should roll down hill and kill said aliens. Mouse controlled.

I can understand why gambling and liquor go up during a recession but lingerie? I wonder if someone knows something I don't ... maybe we should all try ordering something pink and frilly with our whiskey and lotto tickets. ![]()

Ok this post has gotten entirely too silly and the people responsible for it have been sacked....

Logitech Squeezebox Boom would be right on top of my list.
The next model being what The Hurdy Girdy Pow?

Well, at any rate ZDnet has a review on the thing if you're interested.
Well, SEO fans - you'll no longer have to wait that frustrating 2 months to get your listing on DMOZ anymore. That is unless you want to.
Google is no longer suggesting that you should be listed in relevant directories. In fact, they've even removed the suggestion from their webmaster guidelines.
Grrr - all things considered it couldn't hurt anything by being listed there. I still am waiting for GeeG to get listed.
Cool tune, an anvil, sledgehammer, and glass. I love it!

The web has smiled on us all today ! There's a new Weebl and Bob. W00t!

Hmm, big head caps - caps that stretch for people with huge heads - oh my, that image brings back memories!

and no that's not the image I'm referring to - I didn't want to spoil the surprise.

What would a Monday be without some hugely geeky food ideas?

Look it's Darth Pizza! - Yeah, I know it would have been even funnier as Pizza the Hut.

the industry's first consumer desktop motherboard design to feature 2 ounces of copper for both the power and ground layers, delivering a dramatically lower system temperature, improved energy efficiency and enhanced stability for overclocking.

I'd love to try this one out for a HTPC or Gamer rig.
No word yet on price.

Ok how would you like to make a quick hundred bucks? Yeah? ok, there's just one little catch.
You try a colon cleaning product, keeping a photo (or video) diary and daily written journal about your experiences. We'll reimburse you for the cost of your product and pay you $100 for your write-up and photos (or $250 for write-up and videos). Don't be afraid to be funny in your write-up; let's face it, colon cleaning is a funny topic!
Oh sure - it's hilarious - wait - Video Journal? ![]()

If you are looking for a little artistic pumpkin inspiration - look no further. This page has some really nicely done painted pumpkins. Course mine would end up looking like a 3rd grader doing Picasso so I'll just stick to carving.

I don't usually link photoshop contests but the content of this one is well worth it if you are a Gary Larsen fan.

Want to brighten up your day a bit? Go have some fun in this giant database of Limericks - and no, I didn't check if the man from Nantucket was in it.
There once was a man from DC.
"More lim'ricks" was his decree.
In his humble abode,
he learned how to code,
and created the limerickDB.
Lotsa geek oriented ones there too....

Torrent sites everywhere have demo or dev copies of CS4 - even before the software was released. I'm not advocating getting yourself a copy (cough) .. Um, I'd wait till the full pro release gets pirated

with a new product called Social Viewing Room. The idea is that you show up to the site, pick a show that’s on right now, and watch it with your friends or whoever is there. You can comment, LOL or take quizzes for points.
I dunno if that's something I'd want to do but it is an interesting idea.

I have a bunch of extra cool stuff for you all tonight. Welcome to GeeG all you lads, lasses and octopi. Put on your silly hats, grab a cold beverage and surf away till you crack a smile or break your face entirely. I hope you all have a sparkling weekend and I'll see you all next week!

I don't wanna ruin this one by describing too much - but, cue up a monster sandcastle set to win prizes and a reporter and what do you think might happen... ?
