Got the Monday blues? Ticked off at your boss? Bummed out cus your cat exploded? No problem! We've got you covered with some great tunes 1980's style. Enjoy!

Yup, back to normal for the better part of a year. I've got a goodly batch of everything from soup to nuts for you. The weather here in the north east is supposed to turn ugly over the next 2 days with an extended period of freezing rain. On the off hand chance I don't say a word either tomorrow or Wednesday it's from loss of power, not anyone's success at shutting me up
Enjoy!

The world just got a whole lot cooler - Now you can have super strength see through duct tape. Also increased are the number of things you can now "Mickey Mouse" fix with above tape.

If you want some right away hurry, the first batch is almost sold out.

A decent ides here- use one or more of these gadgets that activate at dusk and switch stuff on and off at random intervals. Put a few in different rooms and it would sure look like someone was home.

Hard OCP Takes this new Motherboard from Gigabyte through the mill - read up if you are considering a new system. It should be in your short list for I7 Motherboards.
GIGABYTE did a marvelous job in designing and implementing the EX58-Extreme board. The board itself has a very accessible layout with no severely tight spots on the board. The heat pipe was well designed, working more than adequately to remove heat using either the water block or the Hybrid Silent Pipe 2 air based cooling mechanism. The board’s performance speaks for itself, with its stock and overclocking matching or exceeding that of other i7 board’s I’ve encountered.

Oh noes! have you heard - a team of hacks with 200 ps3's all networked together broke SSL!
Yeah, it's time to worry... just one other guy with 200 spare ps3's hanging around and it's all over.
Not to mention this only affects 14% of SSL Certs.
I wouldn't go thinking the sky is falling yet unless someone with 500 ps3's comes around.

Using this tried and true formula you can find out - no word yet on why all Fords come off the line at 240+.

Good news for jilted lovers... there is the story book type of romance and it's available at Sears for 39.95 -
Just kidding.. It's at Wal-Mart for a lot less
Using brain scans, researchers at Stony Brook University in New York have discovered a small number of couples respond with as much passion after 20 years together as most people only do during the early throes of romance, Britain's Sunday Times newspaper reported.

Seems the only browser losing ground today is IE - for a free giveaway that comes uninstallably with Windows that says something.

Contrary to all the rumors of Dr. Who being a woman this time around ( I knew they wouldn't pull that one until the 12th iteration) - Actor Matt Smith is chosen.

What can make a backyard cookout sufficiently geeky for us? Well for one they could make a Star Wars grill accessory.

I was just talking to Laura about wanting to find the song from that mountain climber game to use as a ringtone or email sound. Whaddya know YTMND had it covered.

If you wanted to get your feet wet early and go mucking about with the beta of Windows 7 - now is a fine time. Torrents are available on TPB as well as other sites. Be aware it's a time limited install, but if you want to test and play it'll work.

Now we're talking - no more watercooling for the elite. Now you can chill your pc the phase change way with Thermaltake's Espressar.
“We see this as a major advancement in cooling solutions, and look forward to taking full advantage of the benefits of micro-refrigeration in order to increase the performance of our gaming systems.”

Vertor downloads any torrent and checks if its fake, or infected, or has DRM. Whats more is that it will then let you preview the content.
Another useful too to add to your bittorent arsenal.
btw - I finally got sick of Azeureus and all its bloatware. Today I installed U Torrent. So far so good.. I'll post more about it after a couple weeks of use.

I wish we had a picture of this one - seems an innocent Ford was mauled by a wayward pine (heh, pine joke).
"The Christmas tree flew out and attacked him," joked Miehle, who did not know the extent of damage to the Ford.
oh sure, just try and find a Google image result for that.....
This months site news is HERE and while traffic was down due to the holidays - Site ratings were way up. Hope you all had as nice a holiday season as I did and here's to the next year!

We all made it through another holiday season. I don't know about you but I'm ready for the slow winter months.
There wasn't a heck of a lot of content to link up today, what with New Years and all... I did manage to find a few things.
I hope everyone has a fine weekend and I'll catch you on Monday when everything is officially back to normal.

Happy freaking New Year everyone! Try your best to be safe and watch the ball drop. I'll be taking a couple days off from posting to spend New Years Eve with friends and my Lady - and a good part of New Years Day too.
See you all on Friday !
Rob

Well, what could I do - I thought of what songs to put up for New Years and could only think of two - one of which was from Dan Fogelberg - so I nixed that idea and delivered you lads and lasses a whole bunch of songs straight from the Captain. Fire up the Geeg Radio and grab some rum - it's time for some songs to get riotous by.

Aye, and have a blast me hardies!
Yup, so Fridays links were slim due to network troubles but I've made up for that today with a goodly pile of stuff. Mostly geared toward fun as the holidays are still in effect and I'm in a silly mood. I also have been working on whats going to be a free user Gallery Right now theres a few of my pictures in there but soon it'll go to closed beta and then open up for most anyone.
Enjoy tonight's links and get those hangover cures ready for Thursday!
